They
ran to the south wing to find a sobbing Hope, on her knees in the hall, outside
the kitchen. Her hands were over her face, and she was shaking her head back
and forth. She was crying so hard she was gasping for air. Austern helped her
to her feet, and they slowly walked back to the main house. By the time she was
sitting in the library she had regained a bit of her composure.
With
her hand on her chest she said, “My heart is racing and my hands are shaking.
I’m so frightened.”
Thanks for reading. Have a wonderful week. Blessings, Marianne
